Frequently Asked Questions
First let’s address the two most common myths and realities about the current publishing industry.
The landscape of book publishing has transformed dramatically. It wasn't long ago that an author's only real paths were the traditional route, where a New York publisher conferred undeniable credibility, or the less respected "vanity press," often associated with unprofessional results. This created a binary where anything outside traditional publishing was often met with the question, "Is this self-publishing?" – implying a lack of professionalism.
That historical context no longer defines the industry. Today, the vast majority of books are published outside the traditional system, and the old vanity model is largely obsolete, replaced by a diverse ecosystem of publishing options, including many highly credible and professional hybrid companies. It's within this modern, professional context that we operate. When you work with us, you're not navigating the old world of questionable "self-publishing." Instead, you are hiring an established publishing company, engaging a professional service designed to ensure your book is completed and presented with the utmost quality and expertise. So, while the historical question about self-publishing lingers, the reality is that professional, credible publishing thrives well beyond the traditional gates today, and that is precisely what we provide.
For many authors, seeing their book in a bookstore is a powerful and exciting symbol of their achievement – and it absolutely should be celebrated. While we ensure your book is available for order through bookstores nationwide via the extensive Ingram database, getting it onto physical shelves is a more complex matter in today's market.
Bookstores face space limitations and typically prioritize titles with proven sales traction, often requiring significant numbers (around 25,000 copies sold) to consider stocking. However, it's crucial to understand that this doesn't limit your book's potential reach. The digital age means a vast number of readers discover and purchase books online. Therefore, while bookstore availability is a fantastic "feather in your cap," our primary focus is on implementing strategies that effectively connect your book with readers across all platforms, maximizing your reach whether they prefer Browse in person or shopping online.

Money
Do I get all the profits from my book?
Depends, if you want 100% of the royalties, yes. If you have a lower budget and want us to take a risk with your book, we can do a 50/50 split.
How do royalties work?
There are some costs to consider: Amazon's fees and printing costs. For eBooks, Amazon takes 30% of your royalties, and you keep the remaining 70%. For paperbacks, Amazon takes 40%, the printer charges approximately $4, and the rest goes to you.
How much do you charge for copies? Will I be able to order personal copies at a discounted price?
Print-on-demand paperbacks, Kindle Direct Publishing and IngramSpark print books for approximately $4 each when ordered through Amazon.
How does payment work?
We are dedicated to creating books with lasting impact – books that will be read, shared, and cherished not just now, but for 50 to 100 years, truly fulfilling the potential of a good book. Our aim is decidedly not to produce something that merely sits untouched on a shelf.
